Our closing remarks and wine reception will take place in the historic Octagonal Room of City Assembly House. Delegates will have the opportunity to enjoy the City, Assembled exhibition which marks the centenary of the 1914 Dublin Civic Exhibition.
City, Assembled: A Moving Panorama Inspired by the Dublin Civic Exhibition 1914, is a collaboration between students from the School of Architecture, UCD and the National Film School, IADT. See videos of the installation here.
City Assembly House is home to the Irish Georgian Society. Built in the 1760s/70s, the Society is in the process of restoring the house, which was the first purpose built public exhibition gallery in Ireland or Britain. More information on the story of City Assembly House is available on the Irish Aesthete blog.
